Chris_ Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I'm glad its the same course as last year. I'm hoping to come in relatively similar (hopefully better) fitness but want to give it a bit of gas - now that I'm a lot less terrified of an Ironman race.

Another lil pro of the new run course is that you see your mates/ tri teammates etc all the time and that's a little morale booster which is invaluable for me. On the old course it was possible to never see your chinas or see them very little. I like seeing my mates and high five, seeing my brother in law and my sister and realizing we all kakking off

Craai Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Just wonder if it’s not going to be quite congested on the run route. Potentially 3000 athletes on a 5km stretch of road. I suppose there will be quite a timegap between pro’s/age groupers/decent athletes and plebs
