  1. Thanks for that. Am I right in saying that if a flight is booked and boosted before 12 July then the max of 100% can still be achieved (if the goals are met).
  2. Does anyone know the exact date when the flight booster will expire? The date when the ticket must be booked by. I can't seem to find the date anywhere. Thanks
  3. Does anyone know if you can use your iphone as a "device" to record a run for example, and qualify for the points? I can link the BT heart monitor to the phone. If so what app can be used? Thanks
  4. I understood that we have agreed to them "selling" our info to medical & related companies, and that's how they finance our smoothies. That's why they won't give access to this data as they don't own it.
  5. Thanks...So for someone paying R5k pm for medical aid & vitality (no savings) how much would the commission % then be?
  6. Anyone know how much monthly commission brokers receive from Discovery for a member +1 dependant?
  7. Had the same issue. I was told it would take another 3-5 working days (after their promised due date) due to the inter-bank payment delays It would seem that some of these payment obligations slipped thru the cracks and they needed a little nudge to authorise them....
  8. RIP Johann. Was a privilege to be accepted by you into the Prince Albert Dikwiel Kommando!
  9. Any reviews about the new Squirt SEAL sealant? https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/gear-news/squirt-cycling-products-introduce-squirt-seal-tyre-sealant-r7558
  10. I will just use the Fenix and record separately. But if you don't have another device it may be worth trying Fit File Tools.com (cf Dexter Morgan, above) where you can change the device that generated the file. Presumably the amended file will then be acceptable to Vitality.
  11. Yes the import into Garmin works 100% but Vitality doesn't recognise the activity even though it's now from Garmin.
  12. Thanks for this. I thought there was an easier way. But I see their point if the file is tampered with they won't accept it. Fair enough. Just more admin now to take the Garmin along and record things there too.
  13. Does anyone know if it's possible to get Wattbike Pro files (.tcx) into a format that Vitality recognises and accepts?
  14. For what it's worth and the assist suckers who are going out to collection today or tomorrow, received this email from the organisors: Good evening Race numbers for paid entries will be available to collect on the morning before the start of the race. Kind regards Ilse Pity this wasn't made public in their emails or on their website. I'm assuming there will be many cyclists voting with their feet in 2018 and canning this new wave of rip-off races.
  15. Thanks Rookie, good Idea. Anyone near to Rosebank going to collect race numbers Thurs or Fri this week?
  16. Anyone know if there's number collection on race day? Can't find reference to this on the email or website. It's a bit of a mission to go out there before race day just to collect the number. Thanks

    The I-Team

Have you got some spots available in your group? I'd like to join in and don't mind working up front. Have a C seeding but I'll never stay with those snakes. The target time at "turn left into Witkoppen" is what I did last year but faded after to get 3H02. So in the group we can save the legs for the last 22. What time does I group start? Thanks
  18. True to form: Discovery and their ubiquitous small print.
  19. Works perfectly, appreciate the input !
  20. Thanks a lot! I'll give it a go...
  21. Are there any "tricks" with getting the Fenix 3 to read the data from the gym's Watt Bike at VA? I cannot get my Fenix 3 to do this. Thanks
  22. Had the same with Cell C and Vitality. Based on my experiences their after sales service was shoddy and they didn't exactly come across as being knowledgeable on the very product they were selling. Had to resort to Hellopeter on more than one occasion to get simple stuff done. Based on form, conventional wisdom says Team Disco will not be without its problems for a long time. Let's all hope they don't become like the govt and loose total accountability. If you are comfortable with this then it's not that bad a deal.
  23. To quote a post above surely they will be competing for the win? David Bellairs, Marketing, Media and Sponsorship Director of the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, organisers of the iconic Cape Town Cycle Tour, says: “The Cape Town Cycle Tour is extremely excited at the news that Mark Cavendish and Mark Renshaw will be participating this year. This is particularly special as Klein Constantia is a sponsor of both the Cape Town Cycle Tour and the ETIXX Quick-Step Quickstep team. Having pro riders of this calibre will certainly make for some exciting racing on 8th March and we look forward to hosting them in our wonderful city.
