Hit and run on a cyclist in Hout Bay by Suikerbossie. Was a CY reg white bakkie with canopy and black tinted windows.

Got word of this via other platforms but I think this is the first of it on the hub.

Riders leg looked in really bad shape. Strongs to him.

That's an area of road we as cyclists generally feel quite safe.

My friend Digby was the rider. Luckily he is fine apart from his leg which has been badly broken. He went into surgery this afternoon.

My mate was parked at the robots at the time on his way home from our ride. The bakkie turned in front of Digby who apparently flew clean across the road before crashing into my buddy. Well done to Digby he is a tough bugger to tackle and apparently you took him down properly ???? All the best for surgery hope you heal up well!

I hope some one got some details of the bakkie and he can be tracked down and prosecuted.

 

Glad Digby only have a (badly) broken leg. Could have been worse.
