Was that 2nd officially or unofficially?

 

For those wondering why, the rule “no chip, no time, no result = no prize” was applied.

Apart from getting disqualified is it considered a d!@k move to start in a earlier batch than what you were allocated?   

 

On the other hand there may be so many people just shoved into the later batches that we might be able to form a decent bunch? Maybe that is just wishful thinking.

On the other hand there may be so many people just shoved into the later batches that we might be able to form a decent bunch? Maybe that is just wishful thinking.

Many doing late entries at CL yesterday... so I recon there a pretty good chance there will be many decent bunches forming from the later start batches

Ah, apologies, context is always good! Yeah, late entries seem to be filled from the front so there will probably be some decent people lower down

Did a late distance change. They seeded me LL. Saw some strong looking guys also being seeded LL thanks to late entries, this morning.

I think if you stick to the front of the bunch at the start, you can climb on to some strong groups.

Coincidentally. I rode through "die poort" today and didn't see any signs saying anything about road closures? Concerning.

I drove most of the route today. Direction arrows are up and plenty of signs indicating road closure for tomorrow.
