Morning hubbers

Need advice on tyre choice

I started riding enduros and now combine it with shorter 40/50km mtbs.

I have put on a onza ibex tyre on the front 2.4 for more agressive riding but not sure how agressive the rear should be. I would prefer a 2.3. Not too fussed about the weight

I ride a pyga oneten 29. Weekends I genrally ride 30km rides mostly trails su h as Hoggekraal Welvanpas etc

I have looked at Specialised Slaughter Maxxis Ardent or Specialised ground control

What would you recommend? Also not looking to spend topend prices

Thanks

All you need to know is in that thread Meezo linked to.

What he said.

Start with the latest couple of pages. Most Enduro info are there.

You are spoiled for choice with Enduro tyres.

Also have the Pyga 110 and had a Hans Dampf on the back which was super grippy, but a bit heavy and a shlep to get up hill.

Replaced it with a Victoria Saguaro, which as first I thought would be a little too XC and weak, but it is fine. I am actually very impressed, easy to install, doesn't loose pressure much at all, low rolling resistence and one can hammer it through really rough stuff and it is fine. No pinchers or punctures as yet (touch wood).  It also seems to wear very little. It has adequate grip for climbing and is not too bad on downhills.

A more aggressive tire would obviously be better on downhills, but otherwise it is great.

Yeah, the HD really is a pig up the hills.
