Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 he was bound to crash...wasn't he nah, he'd been hucking it all day. Just that that time I think he was flustered from the PREVIOUS crash (just a couple corners earlier) and went too far inside. Wasn't able to save it.

Wasn't able to save it. he had....but the speed he carried at that corner as a result was insane...and eveytime he did it I cringed....i cringed especially hard when he hit the tree...........and then the other tree!

What an amazing experience, had goosebumps a few times.The riders said the course was boring but it showed to be brutal! It would've been a tough day in the office for Schurter is Fluckiger and vdPoel didn't crash, they were both super strong. Just comparing the leaders to the median rider there is a huge difference. It is crazy to see how fast they go, up and down!

He's been showing some serious pace thus far and throws away a potential podium spot by cocking up an unnecessary huck. I get it if you want to give the spectators a little something-something, but don't chuck your race away in the process.

Schurter is quite a showman and loves to a few moves for the crowd..but he never did it once here
