I was fortunate enough to be in Albstadt for the race. What an amazing experience, had goosebumps a few times.

The riders said the course was boring but it showed to be brutal!

It would've been a tough day in the office for Schurter is Fluckiger and vdPoel didn't crash, they were both super strong. Just comparing the leaders to the median rider there is a huge difference.

It is crazy to see how fast they go, up and down!

And no doubt they have decent beer on tap!  and bratwurst

Was an awesome day on a stunning course

I believe that was questioned in the ladies' race as well. Rainbow stripes take precedence.

and so it should, at least a new rule that makes sense.

anyone notice hatherly came 2nd by 1 second at the U23 XCO?

Absolutely brilliant. Didn't know where to watch it, just saw the result. Definitely a huge talent, that Alan Hatherly!

Did Alan lost it in the sprint? Did not watch, only results on Pinkbike.

Or was it more important for Specialized to have a world cup win on debut for the 2018 Epic?

Alan doesn't ride for Specialized

Alan ride for Spur, that is on Specialized bikes!

But they are not the trade/factory team that was on the new Epic.

The guy winning, it is his 80's looking Epic, the gold and red.

2017 model winning or 2018, what wins on Sundays sell on Mondays.

No dude, Alan tried all he had to win it. Whether he was on a Raleigh Burner or any other bike.

which unfortunately does not make for exciting racing

I actually put the TV off halfway through the Mens XCO. If Nino is in such a league of his own, and knows it, just maar sit in the group and blast them away in the last lap. Riding away from lap 1 is boring af.
