My thoughts were hey check froome is pulling a Bert and racing aggressively, and how awesome it is.. Obviously we should've checked with Porte to find out if racing to win was allowed.

Pfft..now you see his whining has just wiped out the memory of him fighting so much on the last climb..he needs to put on his big boy pants.

Funny, he seemed likable at Sky, he was wearing a BMC shirt this weekend incase you didn't notice. In fact he's been there a while now.

Liked him at Sky. Obviously took a while for the d.ckhead bug to take affect

Prefer him at BMC, has become a overall better rider. He has room to talk with that comment and it was a good lesson for him to learn pre tour.

Astana in all fairness win the tactical award. 2 GC riders up the road and pronged attacks at key moments. To me that should be the discussing point that ALL the other teams should take note of.

Yip

Sky was a fantastic apprenticeship for Porte

He's a real threat now

And the ambiguity around Tejay has been cleared up

With that comes pressure and responsibility

Hope he keeps a cool head

Tactics make you win races...when it's a level playing field...well, sort off.

I wonder if TJ will be in the tour squad to assist Porte, maybe he will become into his own by not being the no1?

His best ride was supporting Cadel when he won best young rider jersey

He had a phenomenal TdF 2012

Just never seen him doing anything spacial so had very little expectations of him. Towing in behind Landa in the Giro and then beating him in the sprint irked me somewhat. Was a bit conflicted about that as I wanted TJ to win a first, but then also wanted Landa to get a first. All worked out well in the end though.

Was it pressure that caused him to always be a never ran? Not sure. Hope he is in the Tour team and does support Richie. Think the different role could bring out the best in him.

Maybe there is a place for him in the peloton then hey?

But that's also where all the expectations came from and he just never rose to deliver, thus my wish he will support Richie. Think it will work out that way.

We'll see if Richie can sustain top performance over three weeks and go the distance- that has been his weakness previously.

TJ - I think its just a head space issue, after the injuries and illness he really wimped out, maybe he will sort himself out now he has a bit of a confidence boost, winning one of the biggest mountain stages in the Giro but still failed to deliver a good overall GC position there.

The great weather really illuminated the French Alps the last few days on this race - spectaculaire!

Ok are you seriously saying that his comments this weekend was a result of his time at a previous team?

It couldn't possible just be him being moany? It could possibly be him riding as a Team Lead against the other real contenders for the first time? It couldn't possibly be one of the many things, but rather it must be attributed to the highly unlikely scenario that his Bitch Mode was activated several months after he left Sky and its their fault.

Attack SKY all you want, I couldn't care, not the biggest fan either, but thats scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit.

Why does he still get airtime?
