JacBrand Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 During the first race at Lourdes, Redbull interviewed a rider, and I cannot remember who it was (maybe Luca Shaw, but a wild guess), and asked whether he thinks his time would improve because of the 29er wheels he was riding on. His response; "c'mon... it's still just a bicycle..." I quite liked that. IMO wheel size has nothing to do with how fast these guys go; it's rather the size of something(s) in the gentleman's region. If you know what I mean...My thoughts as well.I think this wheel size thing in mtb and downhill is the same as the 4x4 guys with Toyota/Ford/VW/ whateveryoudrive - It does not matter..It's just a bike. These guys would have been testing it for the last how many years.
