The indoor trainer will do that!

Sacrilege. No excuse for a nipper not to face the elements, suffer in the wind while peddling a pig heavy beast 100m. ;)

How about this:

Please tell me you didnt name a kid Kittel?

I wanted to name our little guy, Mikel, was not approved by my wife.

PS. My black cat is called Midi, people think it is short for midnight...actually Pic du Midi.

Once he stops growing, may do that.

Get a telescopic frame... everyone knows wheelsize does not matter and then he can ride longtime... or get a dropper fitted. At his age it can sub as a ejection seat :w00t:

Aluminium is light to and can be recycled. Carbon fiber is such a destructive material as is becomes land fill. With the rate that kids grow, why not get him something heavier to make him stronger!

When he is a competitive teenager then get him something light!

I am rather handy with carbon fibre, not with welding Alu or steel.

Also, spend wise, for what you pay for a really poor excuse for a bike I could build something with better geometry and he will enjoy.

As for the weight will make him stronger, kids have 'X' energy. It gets expended over time. By having a heavier bike he just uses more energy quicker. With the light bike he will just ride for longer.

Luckily it wasn't a few years back...he could've been stuck with Lance now...

Kids names are the first names of Kittel and Swift... don't really like putting their names on the interwebs. He does however love shouting for Kittel though. He is a little confused why he is wearing green and not his quickstep kit.

Fair enough! As for the drop bars, does Kittel actually ride in the drops?
