Maybe a silly question...

But, at what point does a break become a split peloton?

 

At what point does the yellow jersey group become the autobus?

The value of disc brake capabilities down these descents must not be underestimated.

 

It can enhance safety.

 

He may have used too much braking as he hit the apex. Check his rear wheel sliding out on him.

He was on the wrong line after exiting the right hand kink prior, and got in way too hot. The speeds at which these guys descend are insane!

And he was going too dam quickly.

Yeah well I wasn't trying to refer to PhilGil's bike handling skills but ja, too much speed and not cutting the corner correctly sent him over the retaining wall. Just glad he is ok.
