Never a problem for Sagan :) Mr. Magic

Yoh bro... have you never heard of the commentators curse?

It is going to be weird seeing someone else in the Rainbow Jersey next year though... he is pretty magic

Might even see a late attack from someone

Could be a clever move to go a couple of hundred meters before that and then stay away because of the carnage behind.

But who comes to mind that can pull off such a move? Stevo Cummins would have been an option if he had any form and was in the race. # FreeEBH?

On that note, Savage is riding their way towards le tour. (Keep having to tell them the places they are visiting and what stages have been there.)

Month-Saint-Michel... so beautiful!

I was at the TdF in 2013. It was absolutely awesome. If the ZAR wasn't so k@k I will go every year.

I don't think people realize how many people are next to the road. I had to walk up Col de Sarenne at 8 in the morning, probably walked an uphill of 10kms, as we couldn't go up Alpe du-Huez. The peloton came passed us at 3 pm... I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thomas DEGAND (BEL) of the Front as the first attacker.

No, not De Gendt, the other Belgian...

He is alone, nobody taking the bait.

220 odd km is a very long way to ride alone...

Better breakaway forming, including Thomas De Gendt and some nice firepower from the big teams.

Julian Vermote

Lampeart

T De Gendt

Simon Gerrans

Tony Gallopin

Much more interesting

Does he have a chance? No not really but how about this for an Omen...

In 1997 Cedric Vasseur went on a ridiculously long solo break and won the stage and took yellow in La Chatre.... Today we're racing into Chartres, with another Frenchman looking to pull off a long-shot victory. - CN

All I have to say is mmmmmmmm....................

Highly unlikely, but we can dream.

It is very possible that the Peloton would let the lead grow out to 20min before anyone commits to do any work.

My theory on a breakway ride is that the bunch doesn't want to catch you too early, so attack and break away, but then check you pace back to a comfortable level, Zone 1 riding.

Recover and then prepare for an all out effort near the end once they decide to want to pull you back. Escpecially on a stage with a technical run-in they might just miscalculate the chase.
