I totally forgot about the evening picnic's at the Taal Monument. Would any of you guys be interested in a late afternoon Mountain bike Hub ride at/around Paarl (suited for the whole family). Maybe get some downhill fun in for those who have never done this before. Followed by a picnic at the Monument with a bit of star gazing thrown in ? Maybe brining our camera's (cell phone camera's included) and taking some night sky pics? Patensie Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Spoke to PetiteGiant & we're keen, depending on the timing of a kiddies bday party on that day. Bovenland has a nice trail next to the monument. It's a tough climb to the top but really rewarding down. Probably not too beginner friendly with that climb. I could only manage 3 laps on the opening day and almost barfed twice. Otherwise don't know riding in Paarl. Based on vids, the downhill track looks cool too
