MTB Helmet advice

I can't speak highly enough of this:

Bluegrass Goldeneyes. A gift from my sister in the UK vis CRC.

Light, comfy, vents well, good protection, some well thought out features like the soft kevlar chin strap and a gel strip around the front. Worth a look.

My Pink one saved my Bacon at Ezelenduro. The back is caved in and the top cracked straight back to front BUT it did it's job. It is going on the wall of goodness in my new bike room.

Despite a few cumulative concussion issues and some broken ribs walking away from that was largely due to a good helmet.

Customs took their eye off the ball for a second there it seems...

I paid R483.20 in tax and clearence fees.. Merlin use UPS and they rang my bell (sorry) 7 days after purchase. I paid R2397 with shipping and the R483.20 in tax. I wasn't complaining... Just don't tell Lexx....

The Leatt has that! I'm not sure if you can buy the chin bar after the helmet?

I'm nowhere near needing it yet but hopefully one day my skills might require it.

*Edit: They have 2 models, the AM model is standard and the Enduro V2 model which comes with the detachable jaw bar...

Now hold on, having one of those equals more confidence which leads to better skills, if you not so stressed about ruining your pip you ride better...same as a helmet in cricket, no longer worried about becoming less pretty so you bat like a champ.

I am of course attempting to justify the helmet for you! Also get knee pads! If you don't already have.

I have Leatt knee pads already! I got the pads in black so I guess the black Enduro V2 it is

The Leatt is my favourite so far but not convinced about the chin bar option as yet.

I got one of these earlier this year - Giant Rail.

Also a good option to consider.

So pretty much the same price as the Leatt DBX 3.0 Enduro.

Another shout for the Bluegrass Golden Eyes - On my second one now and love the coverage, fit and style.

Looks like they re all settling down around the same price with the Catlike one hitting that number. Not sure what the Star wars styled Lazer one is priced at (if you can even get it here). The Giro isn't available here, can you get the Bell locally?
