They look down on ladies who walk in wearing shorts, t-shirts and slops too ..pfft

Apparently you need to dress a certain way...I will never dress their way.[emoji867]

Only ever worn shorts (okay jeans in winter) and had no issues with any Dale dealers. Maybe they are more relaxed in PTA plus me wearing a Sharks t - shirt with my shorts seems to throw them as well.

I have an incredibly wealthy friend who just has zero fashion sense, likes his old school sneakers, shorts and t-shirts, yet over the past 15 years has made a fortune.

He once told me how he rocked up to a show house of a V&A apartment in the Marina development and the estate agent asked him to leave.   He ended up browsing another one for something like R10m MORE a few units down and put in a signed offer right away he loved it so much.    Same when buying cars, he says the super car dealers treat him better than the VW ones when he wanted to buy his father an Amarok bakkie.

Food for thought.

Now had he walked into a Toyota dealer they would have assumed he came from work and helped him. But the VW salesmen don't know that an Amarok would make a decent work bakkie as well, so they missed that boat. I remember a young lad at the local VW telling me how hard the Demo Amarok works with loads of up to 200kg every now and then.

Yeah, heard a similar story from a friend. Ignored by BMW, but not Porsche.

The OP wants to find out if the bike offered to him was stolen or not and now we are talking about Amaroks, Toyota, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, zero fashion sense and buying houses of R10m in the V&A.........   I am confused.

Funny story... walked into the Ferrari dealer in Cpt like that and was offered a rather nice cup of coffee etc...

I asked the salesman if he really thought someone dressed like me can afford a car like that - his answer was that it's the suits that are the posers and if you could walk into the showroom without worrying what you are wearing then you are more likely to be a genuine potential buyer.

must be reversed in the cannondale shops...

What did you buy?  :whistling:  :whistling:  :whistling:

Was it the 20kilo bag of tile cement?

I had a new garage built a year ago. I used my NAVARA to fetch a lot of the material. Only problem is that it does get a bit stuffed from all the bricks, tiles and sand but otherwise it has no issue carrying 10 bags of Lafarge. She sits a bit low at the back but that 4.0 V6 loves the load.

I used to get great service from Porsche when I dropped my Cayenne off for service, and I can assure you I was dressed like a scruffy teenager.   They are really good.

Don't worry he has not been around again.

Bought the bike and off riding.
