As far as I know the "Scott spark 29 team" was last made in 2012 and was aluminium frame?

Definitely not a 2015, Scott put Fox Nude shocks and 2x10 on from 2014. Think that’s a 2012 or even older.

That is not legit, it is a 2012 Scott Spark Team with an alu frame - I owned the identical Scott Scale Team with the same paint scheme.

Maybe some people use the same approach to cars, where they use the year that they purchased the bike as the model year

 

or in this case maybe the last time they actually rode the bike
