If your sock length are not just below the calf mossel, you are not worthy of public acknowledgement or any form of social recognition

Can I sign up as a waiver if my calf is really gorgeous but exposed?

A CX bike and BikeHub kit. But why should that matter? Do MTBer only wave at other MTBers? Wouldnt that make them the knobs?

I think all you have proven is that at least 5 BikeHubbers are roadies. Or are level with your gravel bike?

Oh my bad.. Thought you had an epileptic fit.. That's why I hastily made my escape.

Disclaimer: As we are in the year 2018 and everything offends everyone, I did not mean to belittle or degrade the epileptic community or any sufferers and I do understand it is a serious condition. It was just a joke.

You can still joke about epileptics and hope to get away with it, but NEVER joke about DYSLECTICS! You will NOT BELIEVE the stuff they will post in response!

Hey, they dont call you Rookie for nothing.

If you really want a Friday Fight, go to the divorce thread and tell the guys its their fault.

Or go to the Trump thread and say that he is so bad that he made you support woman!

You spoilt the party now that I have read this

I proved nothing except that some people have ignorant perceptions and its almost always a log in the eye scenario....

I am sorry I didn't wave at anyone on Saturday. Rode up Sterkfontein hill, and I was a little broken. Was too focused on keeping up with the group. It's not like it matters anyway. The group was mainly on tri-bikes, so I am sure the Roadies and MTBers were all equally judgmental.

When you make it big, just stay away from the girls! These cycling WAGs seem a nasty bunch!

Oh and remember to wave!!!

It's ok - I reckon I could handle those WAGs. I have a few tricks up my sleeve I picked up in my youth growing up on the East Rand ;)

Waving is such an ingrained thing that years ago when I used to ride back along race routes to meet my wife I would be compelled to wave at all the participants. And there are a lot of people between the A group and the Q group! I wave at commuters, MTBers, turduckens, roadies etc, but I do draw the line at ebikes!

I might have spoken too soon about the turduckens. I got a double wave from one particular turducken on Saturday, the first while she was battling into a terrible headwind, trying to be as aero as possible, and the second when I passed her an hour later going the other way. Running. She must be on the Hub and read this thread!

Or she has JUST switched sports and the infection has not set in yet.

Waving, there sure seems to be a whole sense of entitlement and virtue signalling attached to it. How you react to 'not' being waved back at says more about you than the other person.

My riding mate in Midstream used to joke that he didn’t worry about getting mugged, but rather about getting a beating from the large groups of cyclists that I would swear loudly at if they didn’t acknowledge a wave or a greeting. It was a natural reaction to what I perceived as poor manners [emoji23].

I’ve matured past that point now.

As opposed to the polite manners of screaming at people

Completely - even I saw the stupidity of my actions. Just because I’m a grownup doesn’t mean I alway act grown-up.

I love it, just like me :P

Who said: Growing old is compulsory, but growing up is optional? Smart dude, person, I mean! ;)
