Delarey Posted December 30, 2017 Share Don’t have too much to boast about regarding distance but my 2 standout riding experiences for 2017 was:1. The mountain mania route at the Garden Route Trail Park. Will definitely be back. 2. The Piket bo Berg mtb race. Planning to do the U in 2018 to get the full Piketberg experience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GmtbR Posted December 31, 2017 Share It’s been my first year on a MTB and the only goals I set when I found I could actually do this new thing in my 40s was to complete a race and try to complete 1500km for the year. Well, nothing compared to all of you, but I’m very proud of my stats for the first year: Best ride was my first MTB race: Stellenbosch MTB Challenge 30km. Not the most fun race (that would be my first ride at Fair Cape trail!), but I completed my first race in a respectable time. [emoji41] Worst ride was also my longest: 50km to do some gravel grinding on Occultdale and Spes Bona roads...man that SE over 40km/h was brutal. Only time I seriously wanted to call my wife to pick me up! Goals for 2018: Complete two 50 miler events: AMA Rider and Around the Pot. (I’ll save the real 100 miler for 2019). Double up distance to 3200km, aim for 3 rides a week (or more 150 rides) and lose 8kg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GLuvsMtb Posted December 31, 2017 Share A busy year with lots of shortish rides with a fair bit of climbing. All done on the MTB. We’ll see how this translates into Attakwas form in a few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
