Resting the legs today after a good week of cycling.

Will be commuting tomorrow again and will take it really easy because of the OneTonner 170km on Sunday (fingers crossed for no hectic wind).

Strongs to samson99 (Stefano) who crashed at Durbie Dash this past weekend.

Hope to see you back on the bike soon!

Hope the crash wasn't too serious. Hoping for a quick and full recovery Samson!

please man, he is probably riding into work on a bike with buckled wheels, no brakes, single working gear and a battered body .... things you have to do to keep your mileage up in the challenge.

I want to join his challenge (to be inspired). Started commuting in March. Looks like fun. Can I upload onto the challenge? Where. How. Caveman asking here.

You need endomondo. Then ask to join the group. I can't remember who is admin.

Hey V18 - You surely are welcome to join the Challenge.

Like LWB says you need an Endomondo account (www.endomondo.com).

To make uploads easier you will also need the endomondo app on your phone to track your workouts - Alternatively you can use one of the synching apps if you are using a different platform to track your workouts.

NB. If you are using endomondo make sure you list your workout as "Transport" so that your KMs are added to the challenge.

To join the challenge click on Challenges in your Endomondo account. Search for:

"Bike Hub 2018 Commuters Challenge"

Click on Join. Hey presto!

Sorry to hear Samson.  Hope all is well.

Shyte just got real this morning.  Cycled in -4,5 this morning.  I am so not looking forward to the winter.  Time for those winter gloves.

Super hot commute this morning.

Already 30 degrees before 08:00, it is just pure madness!

Luckily my commute to work isn't that far.

Rode my jersey unzipped all the way.

Now I am enjoying the cool AC in the office.

So, if I commute in tomorrow and take a detour over Table Mountain and take a swim in the rock pools on Tafelberg Road ... would that be considered a commute?

Posted

Sounds like a refreshing detour to me!

As long as you arrive at work and do some work before going home, I can't see why this is not a commute.

Sounds like one helluva commute to me! Would be a tragedy if that wasn't logged as one.

Absolutely agree with the above as being a commute.
