Is this even a real profile!?!?

It is. They are riding up into the Pyrenees from the flatlands (relatively speaking).

Yesterday and today they're within driving distance of us, but we just have too much other stuff on to get there :-(

If you draw a straight line from start to finish the average gradient is 1.2%!

Tough day.

And relatively short. Whoosshhhh!

Remember tomorrow's stage is deeeeeep into week 3 and is at in excess of 4000 meters ascent

Geez, these GC contenders are in for a good challenge.

Should be 2 fun days to watch! I see Michelton have just released a newsbite saying that they've been keeping Adam fresh in week 1&2 to support Simon in week 3. Cool tactic!

So when will Quintana attack..today or tomorrow?

His motor is spluttering a bit - I don't see any big moves from him.

Didn't he also say that he would be working for doper now?

Yeah, after Sky's domination, Movistar is very keen to get to top step.

Uncle Valverde will be team leader now and the highest priority.

Based on what we have seen so far Valverde should be the protected rider but with Movistar one can never be sure as they are often very unstructered.

Agreed. Quintana may have struggled on Wed after overcooking himself in the TT. Nice Thu "rest day" might see him strong again today. We'll see on the road I guess!

If they want a GT win, they must work for Valverde..

I enjoy the Michelton team. I'd like to see Yates take a GT after his tragedy in Italy. Hopefully someone has told him that a GT is 21 days and not 18.
