I did the 8 hour MTB challenge yesterday in prep for this event. Man I am glad I did as it reminded me what happens when you start too fast

That is one of my biggest weaknesses... starting too fast... So I am at a cross roads:

1. Race it, start fast and be first at CP1

2. Start slow and finish strong

The temptation of being CP1 Champion is just soooo attractive though

Do what you did last year, all worked out OK.

It did, but I kind of felt I was over cautious. Started too slow and finished "too strong" (if there is such a thing). But yes that recipe I know works, so should probably stick to it.

If you feel confident to race at the sharp end of the bunch then go for it, the last 80km...feels like murder to me.

I'm not sure I will feel safe using confident, race and 36One in the same sentence so best to play it safe then
