Help me decide - Trail / Enduro MTB Frame

I am looking to get a new frame. I would like a capable 29er that is good for the more gravity oriented trails that have in the Western Cape - Helderberg, Tokai, Jonkershoek & will be suitable for local enduro races. I am really wanting a bike that is not afraid to take on some good terrain but still has to be poppy and enjoyable on the majority of trails around Cape Town. I'm realistic about what we have on offer as it is not Whistler or the Dolomites here.

I have the following options that are available to me. Some are second hand and some are new. I am not blinded about carbon over other materials as it's about the whole bike and the geometry working together. Will be paired with MRP Ribbon fork.

• Transition Smuggler - Monarch Debonaire

• Cotic RocketMax - Fox Float

• NS Snabb Plus - Super Deluxe

• Specialized Enduro Sworks - option of Ohlins or Fox X2

But then, ja. VERY difficult choice!

They all seem such good bikes in their own right. All very different but all that seem to talk to the  different parts that make up the reasons that I enjoy riding. There is the goofy one, the gnar one, the interesting 'steel is real' one and the unknown but well thought of underdog.

I'd love to have a weekend of test riding but unfortunately the Cotic and the Snabb don't have demo bikes here and the Transition is an older model as well and there are no demo bikes available.

At this price point, just go with which bike you find the most attractive visually.

Or if you want just look at the geometry of the bikes and take it from there? The Cotic Rocket is a bit longer than the Spez Enduro etc.

S-Works paired with the X2 for me. Still the best bike of all time for me.

The Cotic and NS are bit too quirky for me If it's an N+ scenario then sure.

*Disclaimer. Of the 4 I've only ridden the Enduro.

I always seem to gravitate to the tranny for some reason ????

Man that bike just looks so f’ing bad ass, like it wants you to ride it as if it’s your last leg over ride, begging to be punished ????

There is a lot to be worried about in that comment.

What are their pricing like

In this order for me

Cotic

Tranny

Spaz

That other one

Here are the costs:

Cotic R11000 used (2017) / R20000 new (2018)

Smuggler used (2017 Mk1) R9000

Enduro (2016 Sworks) R16000

Snabb Plus (new 2017) R17000

Here is the review of the Snabb that got me interested. I had seen the 27.5 before and it had very good reviews.
