Maybe Darryl and MS decided to pass on the opportunity of wearing green because they weren't the outright holders of the jersey, and the SA flag looks much better rolling across the line in first...?

There's probably a UCI sub rule that the French-est runner up gets to wear the jersey if the leader is wearing something else

Maybe Darryl and MS decided to pass on the opportunity of wearing green because they weren't the outright holders of the jersey, and the SA flag looks much better rolling across the line in first...?Years ago the famous LA tried that at Le Tour after Dave Zabriski(I think) had been leading and crashed in the TT and LA felt he didn't deserve the jersey(O the irony of this now). The organisers threatened to DQ him if he didn't wear the jersey.
