Mongoose! Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 This has become a weight watchers thread. PainCave "Weight Night".
Pink Runner Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Just figured out the guy one place above me only weights 54kg.No wonder he climbed like a mountain goatHopefully the next rout is more flat down hill to accommodate our heavy weightsThat was me....I had to put out 4w/kg down the hills to catch the heavier riders who were freewheeling.... :|Ps: "she"
2wieltjies Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I see we doing Surrey Hills tomorrow night. hectic ride again.
s14phoenix Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 I may be out completely or having a very slow ride this week... if I cant shake this cold I may not ride at all and definitely not 100% - started last week already but was still feeling ok.
Thornman Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I see we doing Surrey Hills tomorrow night. hectic ride again. Do you know what the distance of tonight's ride will be?
DikBuffalo Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Yes, we are back to Surrey Hills this evening! There were grown men crying on that last climb last week, so we thought it would be great for everyone to re-experience those tears of joy! The race is 42km, HOWEVER there is a "neutral" section in the beginning (which is never neutral!) which adds a kilometer or two.
Thornman Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Thanks that was fun . . . Or not, nearly died on that last climb
Christian van Zyl Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 That was really... REALLY hard... That last climb broke my spirit. Some guys were FLYING!Thanks for the fun everyone.
Big Phil Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Thanks that was fun . . . Or not, nearly died on that last climbLast climb was a killer. I thought we were done with 3km left ????
Christian van Zyl Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 Last climb was a killer. I thought we were done with 3km left Me too... Wife got worried when she heard me yell "NOOOOO!!!"
Thornman Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Sat there, thinking for myself: I've got this sprint". Then that climb came and they dropped me like a Couch potatoe.
Coach Mike - Endure SA Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Anyone got the results from last nights race ?
DikBuffalo Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Anyone got the results from last nights race ? Will put them up in the next hour
Coach Mike - Endure SA Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Thanks D,that was a proper bleed last night !
DikBuffalo Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Thanks for joining guys! Another hectic night of racing and some tired bodies today. The results are attached. As you can see there seemed to be a problem with the first two recorded across the line, both finishing in under 18 minutes - so looks like a Zwift glitch Also a huge well done the ladies that rode last night (i think we had about 10 to 12 ladies racing). Great to see the ladies represented last night. Unofficially, it looks like J Kniep won the men's race with a time of 1:15:32 and the women's race was won by S Eckard in a time of 1:33:02 Great riding there! Next week we are back on Watopia, and hopefully on a flatter course this time around! Will keep everyone posted......
