Many times? You sound like a problem client!

Nope. About asking for specific items that my LBS doesn't stock. Their service is commendable. These shades is an example.

Sorry for the slight hijack, but has anyone had photochromatic lenses that just stop being photochromatic after a while.  They seem to be okay for about  and year to 18 months then they just stop going dark.  2nd pair of Ocean Eyes now that have done this.

Get Oakleys if it fits in the budget...

Photochromic lenses do have a lifespan.

When youre not using them keep them in their case. Dont leave them lying in the direct sunlight when theyre not on your face.

Ive got a pair of Rudy Project Rydons that are about 7 years old, the lenses arent very consistent in clarity and look patchy.

Frame is still great but the lenses poked.

My Oakley Radars are far better quality and cheaper than the Rudy Project.

Morning all,

To those who have D'arcs photochromic shades, or any brand of photochromic shades, why on earth would this happen?

Normally the manufacturer states not to use strong detergents when cleaning. The Photo chromatic is added to the lenses as a thin film. Your look like its the film de-laminating.

Good luck
