Nice to see Hugh Carthy on the front, he's been trying through the Giro and now again here but he looks ragged compared to Landa.

Damn! The Danes just keep on winning!

Interesting show of power from Porte. Just went to the front and rode everyone off his wheel at 500w!

He didn't lose much time today - Porte is looking ominously strong though. He rode to the front then just powered along until he was alone!

540 watts for about 90 secs

He probable weighs 60 kgs

Quite a show of peak power output

Hope he can bring it and fulfill his potential over 3 weeks in France

Think he is just testing the form..on a normal day Porte will out TT most of the Gc riders that can TT a bit and will probably smash a guy like Quintana

Porte have been building up much more controlled this year with almost no early peaks. Normally he is winning all over the place..I think they decided to reduce the racing programme and focus on hitting form for the Tour.

If he gets it right over 3 weeks I still beleive he is the only rider that can really match Froome on all terrain.. tactics aside he is the only one with the guns to match or even beat Froome
