Yep geometry clearly has nothing to do with how a bike handles...

Ya, none whatsoever:-).

I see DnD might not be a fan of fashion or geo charts, but he is a fan of having the right groupset and components.

cant ride a bike without a groupset and wheels but you can ride a bike with "outdated" geometry.

I mean I still ride a twitchy 69degree 29er with 700mm bars and a 100mm dropper...

oh wait no dropper, its for servicing ........again. :/

That's your analogy?

Rather Deore on a new bike than XTR on an outdated geo frame.

What a stretch

No group set equals no ride?

I would have thought no frame would result in the same thing...

Gotta love the hub, an advice thread turns into a Brand saying thread and I know more than you, its not Friday yet! Lets stretch this out until Wednesday then we can fight on the day before a long week-end.

These mid week holidays seem to mess with our internal clocks.

Many people are still out climbing 1x12 paper weight bikes on heavy ass 1x10 bikes

Many people are out downhilling longer lower slacker bikes on their steep 71 degree hardtails...
