Could have been longer streak had it not been for their relegation in the 2006 season. They lost a lot of good players, and had to rebuild. Took 6 years to get back to the top.

And the players who stayed sacrificed a lot too, any one of those could've gone on to big clubs like Cannavaro did, he even told Del Piero it is a sinking ship and Ale told him a captain doesn't abandon his ship.

A lot of credit has to go to management, the new stadium and the financial knock the club took getting relegated restricted a lot of purchases for a very long time and the bargain hunting was done smart.. but the project really started when Agnelli took over as chairman in 2010.

A reminder of who stayed and who left..the fans will forever be grateful for those who stayed. And yep I watched every single serie B game that Juve played.

Players who left

Thuram

Cannavaro

Emmerson

Ibrahimovic

Zambrotta

Mutu

Vieira

Players who stayed

Buffon

Del Piero

Trezeguet

Nedved

Zalayeta

Camoranesi

It also saw youngsters Chiellini and Marchisio getting their first team call ups.

IMO the success today could not have been possible without the sacrifice of those players who stayed.

Edit..to add..

That goes for the entire club..the youth development of both men and ladies... I am esp thrilled about the girls and ladies area.. Juve have after a long struggle able to invest in all areas, developing good young Italian players is also very important to Agnelli..

The stability of ownership plays a massive part, the Agnelli family have owned the club since basically 1923.. knowing that your club won't be sold during hard times helps matters a lot.[emoji173]

Agree that VAR could assist, but the problem starts due to “intention to handle”, which leads to “interpretation” by the ref. That’s the grey area that needs something definitive.

Did the ball touch the hand?

Yes: hand ball

No: no hand ball

Hopefully this explains my view on handball

That was due to illegal activity. Self inflicted really.

People forget that Juve weren't the only ones involved in that.. Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina, Reggina all involved and let's not forget that Inter too slimmed their way out of it and were let off the hook. Juve however were just punished the worst... but it is okay.. we payed our dues and came back.

Ole gonna be sacked.

Nah.. that would be stupid..

What they need to do is sort out top management first and rebuild with Ole..it is time for stability from top to bottom.

Stop it @Gen!! Let them continue believing they are the best in the world, and that every football fan owes them the righteousness of a forsaken bunch of prima donnas. After all, no other club has won 21 PL titles, blah, blah, blah...

Ole record been dismal since signing permanent. He is not the man to rebuild with.

I am being facetious of course but when a poster here previously commented that he would not see the end of the season we laughed, possibility now.

From Twitter - Man Utd should sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and appoint Ole Gunner Solskjaer as interim manager!

Ole's biggest challenge was always going to be how he handles things when it isn't going well, who do you replace him with, who would want the job?

They need to start over.. having the possible sack over a coach's head the whole time is no way to rebuild... the fan base (and ex players) just need to realise and accept that they aren't the team they once were... decide on which direction with what type of players you want to go forward and rebuild..

Keep Ole, cash in on the dead weight while they still have value and move forward from there.. this whole season has been a scramble to survive..

Leeds making it real difficult for themselves.

As things stand now Norwich are almost certainly promoted in spite of 2 very tough final games. Leeds in all likelihood will go into playoffs but still possible to be auto promoted, although will need some luck,

Position 3 to 6 not finalized as team 7 and 8 could still be In position 6. Exciting times.

Unfortunately it’s absolutely certain Birmingham will remain in championship.

was REALLY hoping that Leeds would have secured this by now, now 500-1 to win. If anything Aston Villa have all the momentum going into playoffs.
