How are you an immense snob and a terrible speller at the same time?

It's the Mengels that he is speaking, applying two different languages' spelling rules at the same time tends to do that to you

Well good for u, I would quit cycling if I had to wear that. I hope its becuase you had no choice, becuase if u can afford it, draffing uit for a ride with those Mr P goed with your knaters hanging out and everytime you get out the saddle you chamois moves down to your hips, is simply unexceptable. What you spend on cycling shorts People spend on a bottle of Gin. Get in the game my man!

Nice.

So looking down on the OP because he chooses to spend his money as he sees fit.

Do you also point and laugh at people less fortunate than yourself?

Here's a thought, race the OP, loser buys the winner a pair of bibs of their choice.

Oh, one other thing, only R219, less than your bottle of Gin...

Probably went to some elite boys only school as well.

He didn't tell us that he did though, don't they normally sneak into their first post? Or signature?

I have a pair of Capestorm bib shorts I bought at Cyclelab a month ago for R500, see they're on special for R399 until this weekend. I'm very happy with them, fit well, seem to be made of decent materials and doesn't shift around.

Listen, no one is looking down on anybody here, my problem is the fact that OP is UNWILLING to spend the absolute minimum in my opinion, hence the quote, “Wrong Sport dude”. If he had said thats what his budget allows him to spend, different story. Again, if you cant justify spending a 1000 smackers on bibshorts because “they will just get thrashed after lots of millage”, which makes no sense btw.. then maybe cycling is not for u. But Anywayz, just to prove my point, if theres a budget constraint here, I will personally send the OP new shorts >1000. Address please.

Fair enough.

Your post came across as a bit snobbish.

OP, like many, has maybe one or two pairs of Assos type or equivalent bibs for race days, rest of the time, for IDT or training rides, he can only afford to ride in cheaper bibs.

Nothing to do with unwillingness to spend the money.

I've been rolling in Tenn Bibs for a while and they are a) really comfortable, b) wearing really well (apart from the reflective branding which is starting to come off, but who cares). Buy two pairs and get free delivery as well!

Every time I come across a post or a person like this, I go ride my singlespeed. It reminds me that the basics are all that's required to have fun.

Your opinion of the absolute minimum is fortunately just that. An opinion.

I'm glad I don't ride with people like you anymore.
