Have a bone spur growing out the side of my knee which is causing me some trouble.Go and see Dr. Ian Stead in Durban. Regarded as one of the best knee guys in town. He and his partner did both my mom's knees at the same time and she was up and walking in days and 3 years late no problems at all. Just seen ECCC Whippet has also recommended Dr Stead!

Jakkals. Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Tbh I wouldnt just operate. I've been down that road before...twice. you might not have the same issues that I have/had but I dont think the knee can recover full to what it ever was.

I had a bilateral knee arthoscopy and debriment (removing loose pieces of the meniscus) 2 years ago and I still have to take it slow. Two or three medium-hard session too close together and inflammation flares up badly. I am not sure my knees are better than before the operation... . And it was one of these highly regarded drs mentioned earlier.
