I think a lot will depend on the conditions. They had perfect conditions last year flat swim and almost no wind on the bike, will have to wait and see what the Island throws at them this year.

Wind looks promising but the rain......

Very good point, conditions can change everything, right. I'm just thinking, with the right conditions, he will go for it? Surely he knows he cant podium, so go for a record instead.

So 33 degrees probably means 40 odd when you're in direct sun!? That's warm.

And if it does rain the really good bike handlers will be able to get a pretty good advantage. Might disadvantage Sanders who seems to do a ton of work on the IDT.

If it is raining then the humidity combined with the heat on the energy lab section might wreak havoc with someones nutrition and legs and the race could be won or lost there.....

I might have a slight chance to race Kona one day  :)

I read that the IM Legacy Program grants loyal IM competitors an opportunity to compete in Kona ... all you need to do is complete12 full-distance IM-branded races.

60 grand in entrance fee's alone if you do 12 PE IM's!

Why not wait till you're 60 and train crazy hard so you can do a sub 11 then qualify from there! Similar timeline and way cheaper! hahahahahahaha

(This is obviously in jest as I have no idea how old you are)

180km @ 37km/h in 4H40min @ 117BPM HR after 4km swim and then 25 km run at 142BPM HR  . These guys are something else

Did anyone tell him the race is this Saturday.....October 13th ......2018, not 12 weeks from now. When did he do this? If it is in the last 10days -then he must be so super ready that he can thrash out this session and still race on the rivet Saturday. This is seriously FREAKISH. Let's see on Saturday.

From my understanding it was last wkn, so a week before race day. HE needs a coach to calm him down!!!

I'm also interested in seeing Corey's transformation into triathlon. the guy is in his mid 20's and runs super smooth. his 1500m PB is 3:40 so he can light it up
