Holy shibbles. How fast were they driving and overtaking the caravan? Sketchy as hell.

Thanks for sharing

I am surprised there aren't crashes with the team cars. He hoots every time he was passing other cars and bikes but flip that merc was full gas, on those narrow roads it is very sketchy. Must be pretty stressful in those team cars.

The look over to his driver when the radio comms comes through  :nuke:

That could have an impact on where he ends up this coming Sunday...

When Roglic was working his way back to the leaders after his bike change I heard a long screeeeeeeech as he overtook the red race directors car....I was waiting for the CRASH after the screeeeech but I guess the driver saved it!

I know there are tons of bumper bashings in the car peleton but I haven't heard of an accident in a while (since the multiple Shimano car incidents!).

i think they try keep matt white away from the Scott car's driving seat because of that now!

how funny is the hooter sound?

and his stupid seatbelt alarm going off constantly?

I'll be happy for the man of Ecuador, whoever wins this will surely be deserved of the Maglia Rosa.

Personally, out of the current top 10, my preference for the winner looks as follows:

-Roglic

-Carapaz, Majka, Mollema, Polanc, MA Lopez,

-Nibali, Sivakov, Landa

.

.

.

.

-Yates

PS - I see we are playing the English on Thursday... would be lovely to give them a klap on their home pitches to open the WC.

That’s a good top 10 pick. I think Mollema will be lower on GC in the top 10 by the end. Roglic I personally feel won’t win this unless he has a TT of his life over the shorter distance which isn’t in his favor against Nibali, Carapaz.

I can’t wait for this week **** is gonna hit the fan proper and guys are all moeg, this Giro has not been easy at all regardless of what it looks like on TV.

Yeah that hooter definitely sounds different. Unique, but it seemed to work.

Off topic: When I was in Primary school my best buddies Dad had an electrical company, he had a young guy working for him. This oke had modified his cars hooter to play different animal sounds. He used to pick my buddy up sometimes and always used to drive up playing all these different farm animal sounds. As young lighties we though this was so cool.

+/- 5000 m of climbing today and to top it off, its raining at the moment

With the Gavia out climbing has only dropped <10% but it is still a pity - I reckon the Gavia/Mortirolo double would have favoured Carapaz or at least allowed a climber to create a big enough buffer to save themselves from being out TT'd by Roglic later on.

Either way I reckon it's going to be an awesome stage - racing has been red hot so far.

Bring it - my local Rapha chapter has a clothing release, italian snacks and giro live this afternoon. Guess who will not be doing work from 3pm onwards ;-)

Historically the day following a rest day have been bad for some GC contenders as they lose massive chunks of time, this coupled with the profile of todays stage makes it a critical stage.

Someone's GC aspirations will go up in flames today... the question is... who...?

BRING IT ON!

PS. In unrelated news, I can feel a slight cough and headache develop as we approach lunchtime... halfday sickleave is in order....

Think today will be one for the breakaway.

GC contenders will want to save their resources to cover the chaos that will ensue on those final 2 climbs, so I think you are spot on.

De Gendt needs to lay down some hurt.....
