nickc Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 @nickc When're you gonna Scalpel? He He - now my daughter is doing the Spur High School series my Scalpel fund is depleted At least she is on a Dale
AllAboutRides Posted December 18, 2018 Author Posted December 18, 2018 Is there really such a huge difference in the Carbon Lefty than the normal one which comes with lower spec bikes? Except for the difference in weight?
Jaco-fiets Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 When I bought my scalpel last year I opted to pay up to get the lefty carbon. Looking back I probably would not do it again. It is considerably more and the weight difference marginal. The scalpel 1 would be my bike of choice had I had to upgrade now
Spinnekop Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Is there really such a huge difference in the Carbon Lefty than the normal one which comes with lower spec bikes? Except for the difference in weight?I have the normal Lefty. Not the $$ worth in my opinion to go carbon Lefty
Spinnekop Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 What is the going rate for a scalpel 4? R65k at the bikeshop.Question is now....how much can you arm wrestle your LBS?
DieselnDust Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Is there really such a huge difference in the Carbon Lefty than the normal one which comes with lower spec bikes? Except for the difference in weight? I assume you are wanting comparison between the carbon Lefty 2.0 XLR and the alloy 2.0 PBR? The alloy Lefty is a little stiffer, about 170gr heavier and doesn't have a hydraulic remote lock out lever. Instead it has a push button remote
RaymondC Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Loving the new Ocho fork, I have the alloy one and the new press/turn release system for the calliper makes travelling with the new Lefty easier.
AllAboutRides Posted December 18, 2018 Author Posted December 18, 2018 What model is that one? Look ls like the Scalpel 1?
