1x Dropper remote replacement

Recently there was a thread about dropper remotes where the PNW one was posted as a crazy priced replacement. My remote bent out of all shape when I crashed on the weekend and I started looking about for a replacement and suddenly found that they are a pretty expensive bit of equipment.

Apart from the lyne one (never liked it on my current post) and mod'ing a Sram shifter has anyone seen a decent priced one?

The PNW one works out to be under R1000 which is a lot but looking at Evobikes the Wolftooth one is over R1100.00, oneUP is R700 before shipping from CRC.

Did you have the first or second generation of lever?  The second version (with the little lines on the thumb lever) is far better than the first version.

If you can deal with the fact it's Specialized, their remote lever seems pretty reasonably priced at R445 https://www.specialized.com/za/en/command-post-srl-le/p/129779?color=219830-129779

The clamp is extra if you need it (https://www.specialized.com/za/en/command-post-srl-clamp/p/157288?color=232297-157288) but given you mention SRAM, I assume you may already have a matchmaker option available to you

Assuming it's in stock somewhere...

I tried to get hold of freewheel cycology for one of those, for the integrated lever with sram brakes, but they pretty useless at responding to emails, and they don't have an idea of what I'm speaking about over the phone

I know, I was trying for ages to get an answer as to when they would get the new Specialized enduro Eliminator tyre in stock. Call after call they first didn't know there was a tyre called that and then no idea of delivery. I popped in when driving past and there it was on the shelf. Apparently they had been in the shelf for about 3 week before. Went home, called again about it and, suprise, 'not sure when that is coming in the country' was the answer.  :w00t:

Funny enough, immediately after i posted i was reminded and called them, not only did they answer they called me back and kept my lever aside, need to finish building my wheel this evening then will get it fitted

I just went back and bought it so all good! Hope it's the goldilocks tyre I've been looking for. That lever looks great. Wish I'd got that instead of the Lyne but not a train smash.
