Pieter1 Posted January 14, 2020 Share Ah... I couldn't see the measurements. My eyes aren't what they used to be!! I have a fireye stem with a 35mm stack. That would be perfect too. I'm 100% sure you can buy a stem that would fit the steerer. Easier and cheaper than any other option.Ja, I’ll have a look at the bike shops here but most shops are very road orientated. PhilipV Posted January 14, 2020 Share Hahaha. Hope my art can explain. 41E8A200-618C-40B4-8E35-0B324C9C736D.jpegNo biggie. You'll want to get a stem with a shorter stack height. And a low profile headset. Hairy
Pieter1 Posted January 14, 2020 Share I am so flippen bleak right now. I don’t know if a different stem will even help. I have like 1. Something of steerer sticking out there. And then alles together for playing arounds sake. Jako De Wet and Hairy

Drop Droo at Stoke and email or a call and see if they may have a solution with the fork.

About 1.8k or thereabouts. Hairy and DieselnDust
Off_da_brakes Posted January 14, 2020 Share Nice bike - congrats. I would not ride a bike with such a short steerer. You can also try Robbie’s Bicycle Concept in PE. Good luck in getting it sorted. Pls share the options the pro’s suggest. I’m sure many of us would be interested to know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U5okPm9Sn8 edit: typo Edited January 14, 2020 by Off_da_brakes Pieter1
Pieter1 Posted January 14, 2020 Share Thanks guys. I’m in Kuwait so I sent the guys at ND Tuned a msg. Will see what it will cost to send the fork to them, replace it and send it back vs. buying a new fork. This build is teaching me a lot of patience... Eddy Gordo Posted January 14, 2020 Share Otherwise you gonna have to sell that fork and buy something elseHowever it looks good with all those parts
Grease_Monkey Posted January 14, 2020 Share So step 1, order a Cane Creek slam set, zero offset headset top and bottom, it will cost you roughly 1.5k. Step 2 order a Funn Funnduro stem from CRC, ir has a 30mm stack height and is cheap. There was even one in the classifieds a few days ago, it might still be there if you are lucky. Cheaper than a new CSU.

Give Al at Dirt Customs a call - I saw a bike in his shop where they used some sort of steerer extender for a guy in your position. I don't know any of the details, but it can be done. Pieter1 Posted January 15, 2020 Share Naa it wont, besides the headset fitted is already slammedSo I’m sending the fork off to have the steerer tube replaced. A new fork will be nice but I’d rather be using my cash for other things now. I get a bot naar if I think about spending more money on this build. Thanks for all the advice guys I appreciate it. I’m going to build it up anyway this weekend and then just put it in it’s bag till the fork comes back. Hairy and Eddy Gordo
