Hahaha! Could kind off work with what we are doing in science.

no seriously ... you could honestly do something with that ... not sure what grade you are teaching, but you could do something with both the physics and chemistry aspects....even down to a simple thing like sealant and how it works.

 

one of the biggest pitfalls in our school science classes was that the info you are absorbing was rarely brought back to it's real life applications.

100% Correct. I teach SEN so I try to relate as much as possible to every day life. What makes it difficult sometimes is that they want us to follow the mainstream curriculum and that does not really work for/benefit these kids.

you may need to find the art teacher to take a decent photo before we can comment on that ruler measurement

Hahaha! It is 16cm in total. So there will be a 2cm gap between the top cap and the stem.
