So I’m sending the fork off to have the steerer tube replaced. A new fork will be nice but I’d rather be using my cash for other things now. I get a bot naar if I think about spending more money on this build. Thanks for all the advice guys I appreciate it. I’m going to build it up anyway this weekend and then just put it in it’s bag till the fork comes back.

Hopefully that doesnt take too long. You gonna love the way it rides!!

G’s this fork is beginning to be a headache. Shipping with repairs will be just over 7k. GG are offering me some discount on a new fork so I might as well sell this one and buy a new one. So if anyone is keen on a 2018 OEM 27.5 170mm Lyric RC with a 190mm steerer let me know.

Edit: Thanks Hairy.

26.5 ..... that sounds a bit "short" ... a running theme on that fork :P

Check the classifieds, there are some good options available for a replacement fork and also dont forget to advertise yours

For sure. Will try sell it this side first. Shipping to SA is 2.5k. Will browse the classifieds and see if shipping costs still make it worth it.

Service from GG is super amazing and my new fork is on its way. Opted for a 2019 Lyric RC2. If all goes well at customs I should be riding my bike by Thursday.

what happened to the shorty fork?

Still at this silly place called work. Such a ball ache.

again .... introduce the students to force ... aka torque specs needed when bolting parts to the bike and get the build done.
