Johnny 55 Posted December 18, 2018 Share Hi guys, im thinking of replacing my Gx 12 speed crank with a X0 10 speed carbon crank. Will the X0 fit? I cant see why not. Thanks.
Schnavel Posted December 18, 2018 Share It will work, however, I would recommend changing the chain ring. The 10 speed chainring isn't a narrow wide version, meaning you would likely experience some dropped chains. Johnny 55
Sidmouth Posted December 18, 2018 Share I suggest getting a narrow wide 11/12 speed Chainring with the correct BCD to fit that carbon 10 Speed crank Johnny 55

droo Posted December 18, 2018 Share It should have a removable spider, so just remove the spider and put a direct mount narrow wide ring on. Job done. Johnny 55, Rudi Pollard and DieselnDust
Johnny 55 Posted December 18, 2018 Share Mine is gxp, not dub, direct mount chainring. Not sure what the arm lenght is.Longest arms that there is.

droo Posted December 18, 2018 Share Then you're winning. Millions of options for a direct mount 12 speed NW ring, just make sure you get the right offset for your frame.
steveO:K Posted December 18, 2018 Share 6mm offset for GXP. 3mm may work if you're running boost.

PeterF Posted December 19, 2018 Share I installed a 2012 SRAM XO crank to my 2018 Scott Spark, just fitted a 3mm offset Absolute Black direct mount chainring and works like a charm.

DieselnDust Posted December 19, 2018 Share Hi guys, im thinking of replacing my Gx 12 speed crank with a X0 10 speed carbon crank. Will the X0 fit? I cant see why not. Thanks. If GXP then just remove the 4 bolt spider and fit a 6mm offset Xsync Direct Mount chain-ring for a std 142mm x 12mm rear axle setup or3mm offset Xsync Direct Mount chain-ring for Boost set up. Where you may run into a problem is the Q factor. IS your crank a Q156 or Q168?IF Q168 then you are good to go.
