Sorry for the delay, have been busy flying for the Eid holidays.

On that video there are some good landings in the conditions, really not all that hard, though that first one from Atlas would rattle the fillings!

In strong cross wind conditions or gusty winds, on all the aeroplanes I have flown, large and small, we deliberately fly to the runway with as short a flare as possible. Gets trickey as you dont want an “arrival” like that Atlass Jumbo, but you cannot afford to float above the runway. You need to get it down, get the wheels spinning up so that the ground spoilers deploy and dump the lift to get max weight onto the wheels for the braking.

A stiff crosswind landing will always feel uncomfortable for passengers in aircraft that crab in and kick straight at the last moment. Cross control of aileron and rudder can produce a very nice landing onto the into wind wheel first and then the downwind mainwheel before lowering the nose wheel for the braking. But not an option on all types. For instance not a good idea on our Global as the chance of a wingtip strike is very high. That will devalue the aeroplane by sevearal million USD, cost several hundred thou to repair and also be very career limiting! Hope that gives some insight.

Great explanation, thanks!

My last flight on FSX was a recreation of the first delivery flight of the first new B737-800 NG of Kulula, using the PMDG 737-800 in Kulula Livery.

If I remember correctly, it was from Everett, WA to St. Johns, Newfoundland to refuel, then on to Gran Canaria for fuel stop 2, on to Liberville, Gabon for the last refuel before the final leg to OR Tambo.

That flight took forever, as I "flew" each leg separately, but it was great fun. I will love to do this in even better reality.

I can't view the video. Will it be available on PlayStation?

It seems to be a toss-up between XBox and PC, depending who you give more credibility to at this stage. Release is aimed for 2020.

I am holding my breath, and my upgrade, until I know more. But this WILL be my next hobby purchase.

C'mon LWB - it's the Precious, you know you wants it.

I do want it. But I already have a PS that doesn't get used enough, trying to motivate with the minister of finance to get another gaming console just for one game won't end well. My oldest will be turning 5 next year, wonder if he will want one????.......

Maybe  the PC version (if it comes) will be your best bet then - one always needs a better laptop.

Get one in case he will in future? or Wait for the new generation of consoles and claim future proofing
