I told my wife, in an emergency SMS me, then I will get the notification pop up, that along with debit orders coming off My wife has been instructed to do the exact same thing. SMS and phone calls show up on my screen. Sometimes I get home from a weekend morning ride and someone in the suburb has lost their cat and the suburbs info chat has a million(obviously exaggerating) messages about a missing cat that then comes home 10 minutes after the initial million messages and then another million messages and pictures about the kitty that is safely home.

I just got an extremely sweet deal on a Edge 130 from a fellow hubber, and so far I am very satisfied with it. I am not very active on WhatsApp, and not a member of any groups. I would not mind getting the odd and infrequent notification on my Garmin.

But if you can choose from which numbers you receive notifications or are able to exclude certain numbers/groups it would go a long way. Doubt that it would have such functionality though, at least initially.
