Just out of interest what's wrong with Crossmarks ?

Lack of grip, especially when cornering. At least the originals had this issue, I haven't ridden the updated version.

Any help much appreciated, thanks

I see a lot of guys recommending Vredestein at 150 bucks... don't fall for it, they're paper thin.

I tear trough them and they suffer over the rough stuff. I ride Sabie a lot and they are like slime over ruts so the back end wipes out easily.

Try Solomon's in Woodmead

Got a pair of Verdestei Black Panther Xtreme for R148 each

They are tubeless readyattachicon.gifimage.jpg

Had these on the bike for a total of 2 hours before I tore a 10 cm gash into the sidewall

Love that hardtail.

I've got a revelation 150mm on the front. The gap might be too narrow to run the 2.4's. The current tires (2.3 Eskars) have about 0.5cm clearance on either sides.

Revelation can fit a 2.35 Magic Mary.
