The right decision

Ride or die

Who can help me pleas im thinking of doing trans baviaans 2019 and then 2020 desert bash but when i look at all the videos on youtube literally almost every guy rides a soft tail i personally like a soft tail when doing 60 k up but what is really the best for stage racing and even these 24 hour stage races a decent carbon hard tail or a decent carbon soft tail

I have been riding for over 4 years but never done more then 130 k in a single day but i also had a 4 year gap off cycling (car accident)

I love my HT and she is a awesome comfy rocket with rims and tyre's as wide as can be.

With Foamo and these fat wheels she is still sub 10kg and awesome on any of my local trails.

I have done K2C and would say anything longer than this I would not attempt on a HT.

Having done the Desert Dash on a dual suspension and my mate doing it on his hard tail, I would highly recommend you use a DS. It is going to save you a lot of heart(@$$)ache.

Many people have done TB on hardtails and even rigid SS but I personally won't even consider it, DS saves your body on those corrugated roads and rough cobbled river beds.
