It was a pretty fun race!

The first 100km was pretty fast and then the grind really started. I would of appreciated if it took us through the main entrance of Sun City for a more of a grand finale.. The last loop around the back with those climbs felt unnecessary..

Agree. Lost my sense of humor with those short sharp climbs.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a gravel category when I signed up. And yes, route seemed very "gravelable".

2020 date released yet?

Gravel bike compatible route?

Have a chat to Dana Coetzer, he 'groaded' his Trek Top Fuel. Flared drop bars and gravel wheels/tyres. Looked quite sharp.

Loved the whole thing. Climbs on the whole were really pretty mild.

Hm... now I'm thinking again about coverting that Trek Procaliber just like that. 'Cept the back is soft tail, not suspension. Then again, I also have an older Superfly hanging around doing nothing...

Has anyone noticed that the 2020 entry no longer includes a free entry to the valley? Sneaky sneaky but I saw what they did there

Didn't notice that, but ja guess not many people used theirs/too expensive to include.

We tried to use ours on the Sunday last year to no avail. The website didn't state only valid for the day of the race????
