Rim Valve Hole Grommet

Hello

Where can I buy the small grommet to convert from schrader to Presta,

The tyre size I have is almost impossible to find, I have phoned and emailed numerous stores.

I prefer the schrader, however I am quite desperate now.

Welcome Boskind

Are you doing a tubeless conversion ?

Many bike-shops sell tubeless valves with an extra "grommet" that fits over the Presta valve to accommodate various hole sizes.

The valves I buy from Evobikes dit NOT have this .... speak to them, maybe they can provide you with this.

The valves I buy from Mark's Workshop in Bellville certainly has this      I can post a photo of this later ...

For what it's worth, a cut down valve cap works as an adapter if you're in a pinch. Otherwise, you can get the adapters at most sportsmans warehouses, if I remember correctly.

I think the OP is looking for something like this:

A bike shop might have some of these?

You can probably get a grommet like this from an electrical shop or hardware store. Just get the ID and OD and you might come close.

Rubber Products & Mouldings, if you're in CT.

If not you'll find something similar in most places with an industrial district.

Years ago I used something out of my irrigation toolbox (when we could still irrigate our gardens in Slaapstad). I had to cut it off, but it fitted and worked. I tried to get something from a few bike shops but found nothing. Some mtb wheels are sold with those grommets. Don't know exactly which part it was that worked, but something to do with micro sprinklers. So, if all else fails, try your nursery or hardware store. Look for stuff like this
