Seems like Supersport is not supporting the Tour, but it is on Inthebunch from 14h00 onward. Very happy to see Willie in the break and Reinie in the sprint. Degenkolb could've done a better job defending his position but he left the door open and Sagan came in.. bit of argy bargy from both of them as is the norm in sprinting for position ... there is a nice clip showing the fight for that wheel.. https://twitter.com/Peter_SagFan/status/1140657886839939075?s=09 Edited June 18, 2019 by Gen Vetplant and SwissVan

Gen Posted June 18, 2019 Share No one man is bigger than the sport Did Johnny D appeal? Was reckless racing called out by the commissaires?Nope... there was nothing illegal and no appeals. JD could barely hold Stuyven's wheel and that's how that little gap opened just that little that let Sagan in.. JD was just not strong enough yesterday..have a look at the whole sprint.. he couldn't stay on Sagan's wheel either... and let a gap even before Sagan started his sprint .. vivian had to take the short cut over the rougher cobbles to get around JD who was holding him up. Vetplant Posted June 18, 2019 Share No one man is bigger than the sport Did Johnny D appeal? Was reckless racing called out by the commissaires?Fair questions, but I didn't see anything illegal from Sagan. Degenkold was actually dangerously close to headbutting Sagan, so an appeal might not have worked out for him. All we want is consistency, so if that is deemed legal in this race I hope we don't see penalties in the future for similar physicality. Problem is when someone takes a tumble, it is then when they are forced to act because of the public pressure, much like soccer. At least we won't see dives in cycling, that could be career ending. In a couple of weeks time in France we will surely have more sprinting incidents and you can be sure that we will not see consistency if you look at the history of penalties there. Long Wheel Base Posted June 18, 2019 Share If the FIA were judging that sprint then Sagz would have been given a 5 sec penalty. Wayne pudding Mol and Vetplant

Yip, If Neymar was a cyclist most sprints would have ended in a bloodbath.
dsw Posted June 18, 2019 Share No one man is bigger than the sport Did Johnny D appeal? Was reckless racing called out by the commissaires? Johnny D did not appeal but he complained afterwards that he had to fight with Sagan for his own teammate’s wheel and that he thinks it was a little bit over the limit. Frustration comes out which is natural I suppose.

For sure... even at recreational level i have seen people being super frustrated and full of excuses after losing a sprint for the 1 379th position Long Wheel Base, Vetplant and Gen
