BSG Posted June 27, 2019 Share If someone can help please. I've got a Huawei P smart 2019 and I use a Polar M200, they sync quite well and get notifications, but after a few minutes they lose connection meaning that I don't get phone call, sms or Whatsapp alerts on the watch. I've spoken with Polar and they just told me to do a connection setup again, then it works but only for a few minutes.
fanievb Posted June 28, 2019 Share It's the phone. Huawei battery saving function kills the polar app causing the connection to drop. You need to change the app's battery settings on your phone. You need to change the app's battery settings on your phone. Google for instructions I put Polarflow on the allowed list so lets hope it works. I should probably say that I'll report back if it's worked or not but knowing me I'll probably forget or whenever I sync I'll tell myself I should really provide feedback on this to the Hub..... Would that be by the app settings?

BSG Posted June 28, 2019 Share Notifications...... forget notifications, turn them off, enjoy your training and check your phone when you get home. QEDProblem is I've got a business running and need my phone 24/7, even when I'm on leave, to make mula and if it's a business call I can see it and stop to answer and if it's a unnecessary call I can let it run to the voicemail. BSG Posted June 29, 2019 Share So I went to Vodashop yesterday, told the guy about my connection problem, he took the phone, fiddled here and there, said everything looks ok but lo and behold, no connection lost since yesterday at 16h30. Everything seems [emoji817]% now. Yea happy me. Dadbod Racing

For future reference: I have a Huawei P10 Lite Settings > Apps & notifications > settings > special access > ignore optimisations the find Polar flow and "allow" it. You might have to tap all apps first and then allow it from there. @fanievb ........... I will now call you Sir fanievb! BSG
ChrisF Posted July 1, 2019 Share Notifications...... forget notifications, turn them off, enjoy your training and check your phone when you get home. QED I have an old phone with me cycling .... Only two people have this number, the rest can wait until I get home .... Getting away from the phone is as much part of it as the actual cycling ... Feel sorry for those that need to be in touch while cycling ...
