How often do you really use your GoPro?

I'm new to Gopro

Bought the Hero9 in December and used it during the family holiday as my main camera.

Very happy with the purchase and Quik is a nice tool to put together a short holiday vid. All editing done on my mobile.

Hyperlapse and Timelapse is a hoot!! Hypersmooth 3.0 is really really impressive. Smooth as butter when I went down a hugely rutted pass.

Underwater capability is really nice - took some nice shots of the animal life in a crystal clear Karoo stream.

Only downside is playing the vids on the PC (windows 10) - it need a special codec to run the HVEC format.

I use mine for the same things. Although I have the 5 black. I really want to upgrade to one of the later models, the 5s stabilisation is not bad but the newer ones are really nice. Anyway I use my GP often.

Check out an desktop app called REEL STEADY the FPV guys use it to smooth out their footage.

I tend to use my hero 5 often to the point I need a new one... Now waiting for the hero 9 bundle.

Ja my GP’s rubber shell or whatever has torn by the on/off button so probably not long before it gives up. So I’m waiting for that to happen before I upgrade.

ALWAYS carry my GoPro, 9 with new Max Lens Mod as well as MAX 360, Use Final Cut for editing...GoPro have dropped the ball with updating their 360 reframe plugin for the latest versions of Premiere Pro, so made the switch until they get themselves sorted out......

You are something of an exception to the rule. It helps that you have a bunch of camera sluts for friends too.

Gopro 9 question...

Unit is advertised to be 240 fps capable, but mine only shows up to 200 fps. Also doesn't show 30 fps but rather 24 and 25. Region dependent?

you got it set to 50Hz anti flicker.....preferences/general/anti flicker....set to 60 Hz....

Ja, Thx

Saw that on Dr Google..NTSC vs PAL settings :-)

getting it right according to regional specs only really applies if you filming indoors under fluorescent type lighting and street lighting, where refresh and fps rates needs to match Hz of lights to avoid flicker....not an issue if you always filming outdoors during the day...
