Shebeen Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Even more chuffed for the dude today. I really thought Terntin had it in the bag. Really enjoyed the Worlds this year, its even inspired me to get back with some purpose.Final 4 were all totally running on fumes.I wonder if many riders in the chase group are now regretting not committing earlier, instead of just waiting for Belgium to pull it back Sags for one looked like he had paced will, but the catch just never happened.

Besides, nobody would have helped him chase the break down, we have seen this many times before. But nobody could have predicted just how hard From the Pool hit that wall. Its like a fat eBikers battery ran flat on ou wa pad!

Frosty Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Saw someone mention a rule with some sort of statute of limitations - within 30minutes of incident disqualification on the road or otherwise its race on..not a bad idea.I do think they should enforce this rule (drafting)somehow more effectively and it should be enforced. If allowed to happen uncontrolled it would significantly change the dynamics of the sport. Crashes and mechanicals and the risk it brings with it is a massive part of the race outcomes.Big issues are mainly around consistency and time it takes to make decisions. The UCI are their own worst enemy, by publicly stating in the press interview after the DQ that they do not know the acceptable time someone can sit behind the car. When asked about it, they umm’d and aah’d and said 10, umm 20 seconds. The rule is either zero, Ora defined time limit.

Sags interview after stated as much..gambled on it coming back to a sprint, he also said that some of the stronger nations weren't as strong as usual and that was probably down to the weather. Pity cause he looked really comfortable all day but hey as you said had he gone with the move Trentin would def had worked even less that he did after Moscon was done, had he tried to bridge earlier he would just have dragged some riders along who would've sat on his wheel. This cycling business is not easy sometime the gamble pays of, sometimes it doesn't, yesterday it didn't pay off for him but sure did for Mads and I am really happy that he is WC.
Warren_G Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Crazy conditions, brave riders, a true test
Pure Savage Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 These conditions were not perfect but its no different to the 45 degree temps they had previously. Just get on with it.
