Suikerbosrand - Open or not ?

I have heard that it is and I have heard that it is not.

 

Does anybody have a definitive answer to the question ?

 

It is a bit far to go out on the off chance, but I'd like to go and have a ride this coming weekend.

I rode through it right after the zone of death was removed. I don't think the person at the gate had a clue though. (so it might actually have been closed)

 

We wanted to go hike there more recently, and the friends of suikerbos FB group said it would open on the 1 Aug, now however they say it is still closed.

Just out of curiosity, we rode past there today. Some cars parked outside but security says still not open.
