Hi Guys,

Quick one. I saw an old giant anthem S for sale for 1 500.00 the guy says the rear shock would need to be replaced or 'recon done'.

What does 'recon done' mean and what would I roughly be paying to replace the rear shock? Worth buying or keep looking?

A good 165 secondhand shock will likely be around 4000, fox is much more reliable than rockshox

Rebuilding the bikes current shock if possible should be round 1600

As someone who rebuilds these things all day, I disagree.

Fox any day of the week. If it breaks, spares are available. If RS breaks, throw it in the bin.

Even if that part is a top cap for a Fox 36 Rhythm?  :whistling:

That exists, it's just a matter of getting your hands on one...

(You should get a call early next week, there's a shipment in customs)
